Vars station
Vars station and its 3 villages
Situated at an altitude of 1850 meters, in the heart of the Alps, Vars has become one the most coveted stations for winter and summer sports in the Southern Alps. Indeed, it blends high mountains with surrounding summits of more than 3000 meters (Massif des Ecrin and du Queyras). Its high altitude and its position make of it one of the most snow covered stations in France which, moreover, benefit from the luminosity of a Mediterranean climate. The station is located, by car, at 2 ½ hours from Marseille, 4 hours from Nice, 2 hours from Turin, 3 hours from Milan and 3 ¼ hours from Geneva.
A great station for winter sports
Located between 4 mountain hamlets (Saint-Marcellin, Sainte Marie, Sainte Catherine, Les Claux) that extend throughout the length of the Great Alps, Vars has been able to ally the authenticity and charm of its traditional villages with the comfort of a large station for winter sports. Its natural heritage and its mountain character make Vars a privileged place to stay. With its 4 shopping centers, its varied and specialized boutiques, and its festive and pleasant meeting places, Vars will seduce you.
